Glow Series
This ongoing series is inspired by Yayoi Kusama’s early photography, where she adorned herself and a horse in polka dots. I wanted to reinterpret this concept by using reflective dots on the human body and capturing their glow with a 2000s flash camera. In dark, the dots transform into a constellation of stars—tiny sources of light. Their organic placement on the body evokes imagery that can suggest cosmic patterns, auras, or unsettling references such as plagues and infectious diseases like pox.
